I can remember when fried food was just a way to get you to eat your vegetables. Yeah there were a couple sandwiches, chicken,pork and beef but nothing like the experimentation you are seeing today at America's Fairs and Festivals.

Over the last 10 years you have seen twinkies,candy bars,cookies,plus all your favorite staples-hamburgers,hotdogs and pizza popping up at every event. Some things like the deep-fried hotdog have been a regional secret until they caught on at the fair.

Most of my fondest memories are of good times at the fair,carnival,boardwalk or festival enjoying the activities and of course the funnel cakes & anything NEW & deep-fried!! Don't get me wrong I still love the cotton candy,candy & caramel apples,lemonade and anything BBQ too.

We are anxiously awaiting San Gennaro Feastand the Greek Festival. We go as often as we can and now that Miles can go on the rides it's worth the while to do all the walking around.

We will miss you so very much. For all the years I can remember you were there for me with your soft creamy coolness and crispy crunch. You brought a smile to my face and a warmth to my heart everytime we met and you never let me down. You were a loyal friend and never question my loyalty to you. Oh I will admit I have seen others and on an occassion I paid them a visit ,but no matter what I always came back to you. With your irresistable charm and superb quality and choices you lulled is into submission. We were so very sad when we saw the signs they were placing up above your proud name and we knew the end was so very near. We made an effort to visit you as often as possible in those last few days but when we cam to visit and all the doors were locked our hearts just broke when we knew we would see you no more. Oh how you will be missed by ALL.
