What a day!! We arrived early so we didn't have to fight the crowd, it was about 90' at 12 noon with an occassional cloud cover, so the weather was pretty nice. There was BBQ in the air the first step in the gates. We were able to locate a 2 for 1 coupon for the tickets so all 3 of us entered for just $15. There were tons of boothes handing out FREE samples and of course the sponsors were giving away tons of FREE stuff too, we walked out with an entire backpack which was FREE too. There was 2 stages with bands playing, the music was pretty good considering we had never heard of any of them except Puddle of Mudd & Lifehouse. The food deals were insane, $1-$5 meals , Drinks were pretty much $2 at every stand and there was lots of variety to choose from. As you can see from the pictures we tried a little of everything. Hash House A Go Go seemed to be the most popular booth with their Hamburger and then H&H BBQ was pretty busy too, but we had a bad experience with them at the Las Vegas Culturefest. Shane's BBQ Shack had the best BBQ of the day, but the Stripburger had the best deal $2 Miniburgers. We really enjoyed this event great food, good music and by the end of the day 20-30,000 people. There was plenty of stuff for the kids to do lots of jumphouses and of course a handful of rides. But most came for the food & music. If you missed the BITE this time don't miss it next year. Bring some ALKA-Seltzer or Rolaids though.
