"I have eaten at Off the Strip about 20 times and the food is ..."
I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO FIND THIS PLACE FOR AWHILE AND FINALLY I RAN ACROSS IT WHILE RUNNING ERRANDS. IT DOESN'T SERVE BREAKFAST OR LUNCH SINCE IT OPENS AT 4-4:30PM AND THE MENU LOOKS A LITTLE PRICY, SEEMS LIKE A FINE DINING ESTABLISHMENT. PRETTY HARD TO FIND ANYTHING ABOUT THIS PLACE ONLINE SO IF ANYONE OUT THERE WANTS TO SHARE SOME DETAILS PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT.

  1. I live about three miles from Off The Strip - Just Real food and I go there at least once a week. The food is freakin' fantastic and there's nothing even close to as good nearby. It is a little hard to find, though. It's tucked away in the south end of the shopping center located at the southeast corner of Southern Highlands (aka Decatur) & Cactus. Go down to the end of the shopping center past the grocery store and the Nevada State Bank and it's in the middle of the little group of restaurants in the last building. The restaurant serves a pretty broad array of contemporary American and Italian influenced dishes starting at about $10 and running up to $25, or so. The Pork Roulade and the Beef Wellington are my favorites. Also, if they've got the Lasagna when you go, try that. Finally, they make their own cheesecake everyday and it's really, really good.

  2. The food at Off the Strip - Just Real Food is so so so good. Some might think it is a little pricey, but you forget about that in your first bite. Honestly I have had NOTHING as good as this even on the strip "gourmet" restaurants. You HAVE to have it. You will be in heaven!

  3. My friends took me here for dinner, and I'm hooked! Only problem is I live in another state. Drag. I had the rigatoni bolognese with homemade meatballs (one of my favorite dishes of all time), and I'd have to say you wouldn't be able to find better at any price. The calamari was great too, and their cheesecake defies description. Forget Cheesecake Factory! The crew is very friendly, and I think this would be a great neighborhood hang in any town. The location in a shopping center might be a bit misleading, as you don't really expect food this good from a modest little storefront. Word-of-mouth, which to me is the best advertising of all, will no doubt make sure the dining room is always full.

  4. If you have a hankering for excellent food and personal service, this is THE PLACE! Vegas has so many restaurants to choose from but buffet after buffet gets real tiring and the noise level creates a negative experience (for me). Off the Strip-Just real food is the opposite end of the scale. If you want a nice and quiet ambiance, personal service where the owners will meet and greet you, the Chef will possibly take your order and serve you AND honestly takes your critique on his food and pay for excellent food at reasonable prices, please stop here! You won't be disappointed.
