I never knew pfeffernuesse was what these were called but they have always been one of my favorite Holiday sweets. My mom & grandma used to make them every Christmas and usually my mom sends me home with an entire tray of fudge,brittle,and all the traditional holiday sweets and some new experimental ones too.
