U.S. OPEN TABLE TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIPS with matches being played 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Wednesday through July 3 with the semi-finals and finals beginning at 5 p.m. July 4 in Hall C3 and C4 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, 3150 Paradise Road. REDEDICATION AND FOURTH OF JULY CELEBRATION the reopening and rededication of Lorenzi Park, 3333 W. Washington Ave., will be 6-10 p.m. Saturday. Free events include: softball games and tennis matches 6-9 p.m.; a tree planting ceremony at 7 p.m.; live entertainment and balloon artists 7-10 p.m.; and a dunk tank 7:30-8:30 p.m. Closing ceremonies and fireworks will be at 10 p.m. (229-3516).


'NIGHT OF FIRE' AT THE BULLRING featuring NASCAR Whelen All-American Series stock car racing, a jet car and SMRA Supermodifieds. Fireworks are scheduled for 9:30 p.m. Thursday following racing at 7 p.m. at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, 7000 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Gates open at 5 p.m. Admission is $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and military personnel, $5 for ages 6-12, with a family four-pack for two adults and two children offered at $38 (644-4444).


LAS VEGAS 51S VS. RENO ACES the baseball games at 7:05 p.m. Thursday and July 3 will be followed by a fireworks display at Cashman Field, 850 Las Vegas Blvd. North, $9-$14 (798-7825).


INDEPENDENCE DAY JUBILEE presented by the City of North Las Vegas and featuring "A Tribute to Our Troops" with live entertainment, children's activities and fireworks at 6 p.m. Thursday at Seastrand Park, 6330 Camino Eldorado, free (633-2650).
