LAS VEGAS, NV – Capriotti’s President and CEO Ashley Morris will pay tribute to the hundreds of courageous firefighters of greater Las Vegas by offering them a free nine inch sub on Wednesday, September 23. At 12 noon, Ashley Morris will be joined by a crew from a local station of the Las Vegas Fire Department along with Chief Greg Gammon at the newly renovated flagship store—322 W. Sahara Avenue—for a special lunch event. Las Vegas Mayor Oscar B. Goodman will be in attendance as a guest speaker.
Media are invited to attend the event from 12 noon to 1 p.m. at the W. Sahara Avenue location. The free sub offer will be available at all Capriotti’s Sandwich Shops in southern Nevada to firefighters who show a valid firefighter I.D. Firefighters from The Las Vegas Fire Department, Clark County Fire Department, North Las Vegas Fire Department, Henderson County Fire Department and Boulder City Fire Department are all eligible.
“As a California native, I was really touched by the fearlessness showed by the firefighters who risked their lives in the recent brush fires,” says Ashley Morris. “I wanted to personally do something to show how grateful our communities are to these men and women who valiantly put their lives in danger every day for our safety. Firefighters everywhere are often underappreciated and overlooked. Offering complimentary Capriotti’s sandwiches is just a small token of gratitude.”
A staple on the Las Vegas strip for more than 10 years, the flagship location of Capriotti’s has received a major facelift, with more than $50,000 in improvements and furnishings. The new look will set the stage for a successful and memorable firefighter appreciation ceremony. In addition to the physical reconstruction, beginning September 21, Capriotti’s lovers who frequent the 322 W. Sahara location can enjoy new extended hours, from 10 am to 9 pm Monday through Saturday and 11 am to 7 pm on Sunday.
